Double Diminished Value

A client was referred to us after having two of his parked vehicles struck while parked outside of his residence. The at fault insurance carrier paid for the repairs accordingly but the owner hired us to negotiate the loss of value of his 2018 Hyundai Sonata and 2017 Nissan Altima. The owner was offered $1,152 and $985 respectively for the loss of value to the two vehicles. Unfortunately the striking vehicle had a limited policy that did not have enough funds left after repairs to make the owner completely whole. After further negotiation and presentation of an expert report we were able to recover a total of $5,034.00 from the at fault insurer, the remaining balance of the policy. Always hire an expert when trying to negotiate a fair settlement with an insurance company.
