CCC Total Loss Report Dispute

TL;DR

  • - If your insurer relies on a CCC Market Valuation Report, get a second opinion because those reports can contain valuation flaws leading to lowball offers.
  • - Invoke your policy's appraisal right and hire a licensed independent appraiser to dispute a total-loss value—one USAA client recovered $4,267 more than the original CCC valuation.
  • - Consult your attorney early and pursue appraisal instead of accepting the initial settlement to maximize your total-loss payout.

A client insured by USAA was referred to us by his attorney after he received a lowball offer on his totaled 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. USAA utilized a CCC Market Valuation Report which had several flaws. After invoking the right to appraisal and hiring us he ended up with $4,267.00 more than the original CCC value. Always get a second opinion when dealing with a total loss claim.
